About us

Our history

Faunakram brand was founded in 2012 by our CEO Morten Kaas Jespersen. The idea was to create premium  quality pet food to reasonable prices.

Faunakram started as a small webshop, but today we concentrate on distributing our products to major retailers and webshops in Scandinavia.

Our founder, Morten Kaas Jespersen has worked in retail in more than 30 years, this give a great knowhow in deveoping and implementing concepts to end users.
Morten has worked with pets since he was 16 years old, and in 1995 he and his wife Kisser founded Kennel Nørrebakken they breed and train "’German wirehaird pointers". Morten is a certified dog instructor  and has been a field trial judge in more than 10 years.
Morten is an active hunter and uses his own dogs actively all year round for either hunting, field trials or shows.

In 2019 Morten & Kisser has founded the Ragdoll Kennel: "Kennel KissMiss" breeding Ragdoll cats.

Faunakram Pet Food A/S was founded as a joint venture between Morten Kaas Holding and BPI A/S. The vision is to create an international company developing and distributing Faunakram Products in EU and Norway.

 

 

 

  • 2019

    Faunakram launch organic dry and wet food in the market.

  • 2018

    Faunakram introduces REAL Meat dry food products and the first Faunakram products were sold in Sweden.

  • 2017

    Faunakram introduces REAL Meat snacks for cats & dogs and the first Faunakram products was sold in Norway.

  • 2015

    Faunakram Pet Food A/S was established as a joint venture between Morten Kaas Holding Aps and BPI A/S (Meat trading company). The vision is to make Faunakram an International brand

  • 2012

    Faunakram brand was etablished as a small Danish webshop, with premium grainfree petfood to low prices.

  • 2007

    First trial production of own developed dry food formular.

  • 2005

    Morten starts to research formulars and opportunities in the Pet food market

  • 1995

    Morten & Kisser Kaas Jespersen founds Kennel Nørrebakken - breeding German wirehaird pointers.
